Kirsty McLean

I returned home to Taranaki last year after 17 years living in Borneo. This year I was a finalist and award winner in the Molly Morpeth Canaday Art Award. I am fortunate to have a beautiful, elevated studio space with views of Mt Taranaki. Through my painting, I love to explore the elements of space, form and colour. Ideas are developed through various processes including drawing and sculpture. Abstract figures are used to convey my thoughts about the human condition.
