Anna Scott

Anna Scott is a Taranaki-born artist whose work is deeply connected to Aotearoa’s native birdlife, flora, and landscapes. Her practice blends illustration, painting, and photography, exploring organic forms, texture, and light. She works with pencil, ply, chalk and paint to create layered compositions, while her macro photography captures unedited moments finding the extraordinary from the ordinary. A lifelong observer of nature, Anna’s passion stems from childhood adventures in Aotearoa’s forests, fostering a deep appreciation for its unique environment. She has exhibited regularly for over 15 years, continuously evolving her work while pushing artistic boundaries. Alongside her own practice, Anna has spent the last seven years curating exhibitions at The Collaboration, bringing together diverse artists and celebrating creative storytelling.
