32 Miro Street, Inglewood 4330, New Zealand
Based in Inglewood, I am a contemporary sculptor dedicated to breathing new life into the history of New Zealand’s timber. My practice is a study in transformation; I take reclaimed wood—often salvaged—and reimagine it into intricate, fluid forms that challenge the boundary between nature and engineering.
Rooted in organic geometry, my work draws from the mathematical precision of the natural world, from seashells to galaxies. While entirely handcrafted, my sculptures often possess a "digital" aesthetic where sharp lines meet the textures of native timbers like matai, puriri, and totara.
This approach has earned recognition as a finalist in the 2025 Waiheke Small Sculpture Prize and 2 Highly Commended awards at the Taranaki National Art Awards. During the Taranaki Arts Trail, I invite you to view finished works and see how traditional woodworking is pushed into high-concept art.
