Brian Cocker

Brian dabbled in clay art for many years whilst working full time, but since retiring he has spent more time in the pottery workshop. Together with his wife. Patti, a fellow ceramic artist they created "The Potters Shed" in Inglewood and have participated in the Taranaki Arts Trail regularly over the past decade. After taking a short break following Patti's passing last year Brian is now back in the shed making a range of boats, caravans and a limited range of the highly coloured art pieces which they both made for inside the home and out in the garden. Brian makes his own glazes and ceramic paints to evoke nostalgic finishes and a connection to a different time. His studio is open throughout the year by appointment.
