BRETT WILLIAMS

Brett Williams is a self-taught Taranaki artist whose work is inspired by the distinctive landscapes and atmosphere of the region. Drawing on the dramatic forms of the Taranaki coastline, industrial landmarks, and the iconic presence of Mount Taranaki, Brett creates bold mixed media artworks that celebrate the character of the place he calls home.

His process combines paint with layered materials and textured surfaces, allowing each piece to develop a strong sense of depth and movement. Brett enjoys experimenting with colour, often using vibrant tones and striking contrasts to capture the changing light and mood of the Taranaki environment.
