Alana Ruakere

Creative singer/poet/painter and CEO Alana Ruakere grew up in Taranaki and has returned home to lead Tui Ora health and social services. Her daytime job is challenging and she likes to bring her creative side to everything she does, but painting in particular, is her free time outlet for processing complex ideas and information through the medium of paint. Self taught, experimental, expressive and preferring strong primary colours and large canvas, her abstract art always has a story behind the image.
