Suzanne Bloch-Jorgensen

I was taught the art of pottery by my parents who were amongst the first professional potters in New Zealand. I have been potting full time for over 40 years and still get excited every time I open the kiln following a firing. My pottery includes birds, creatures and seashells for the garden and domestic-ware for food. Most of my work is started on the pottery wheel and is all totally handmade with every piece having its own character. The range of clays, techniques and colours seem to be endless and developing these for my pottery are the challenges I enjoy.
