Rachael Davies

A ceramic artist, I create detailed and expressive figurative sculptures in clay that embody sentiment, nostalgia and occasionally humour. Inspired by the beauty of human expression, drawing, classical history and mythology, there is always a story to be told. Since moving to New Plymouth from the UK with my two daughters and husband several years ago, and joining the New Plymouth Potters club. I have set up my own studio in New Plymouth, where I often multitask from clay sculpting to charcoal drawing or painting, glazing to firing and final finishes.
