Hi, my name is Kristina. I'm Lithuanian and a self-taught upholsterer.

Red Couch started as a hobby 7 years ago and has now become a destination for funky, bold and eye-catching furniture and artful upholstery service.

My previous life revolved around Tourism & languages in Lithuania & UK. But for the past 10 years I've been enjoying the legendary New Zealand lifestyle.
After the first couple years in the office environment I swapped heels to jandals, computer to staple gun and have gone on the road to explore the hidden secrets of old chairs.

I specialise in restoring and breathing new life into people’s old furniture that was quality made many years ago. By using modern materials and textiles, I extend furniture’s life, shorten the replacement need and most importantly, make people happy.
