Ian Calloway

I was born in Brighton UK and graduated in 1979  from Canterbury College of Arts, majoring in Painting and Arts History. Since then, I have been a full time painter. I am inspired and amazed by human form and endeavor to recreate its subtle beauty. I use predominately oil based medium to capture structure, form and colour. 
My forte is life drawing and I chose to emphasise the “natural” without glamorising or over complicating its pure essence. 
My work is in private collections in New Zealand, UK, USA, Australia, Canada, Nicaragua, Germany and Turkey.
