Alan Axten

I have been involved in stone sculpture for about 12 years, and am an active member of Te Kupenga Stone Sculpture Society here in New Plymouth. I have participated regularly in the stone sculpture symposium on the foreshore including in January 2023. As my wife and I have previous participated in the Fringe Garden Festival, I have also had a stone sculpture gallery open to our garden visitors. My works range from representations of Taranaki landforms to stylised free forms with, etched surfaces and textures. I am currently exploring composite works.
