Beth Pottinger-Hockings

I have a passion for fibre! What is important in my work is colour, balance, shape, texture - it must please or draw the eye in. I am frequently inspired by life's meaningful (& quirky) events.

Although I use other natural fibres, the vast majority of my recent work is created with wool - I love the feel, smell & the possibilities - making wool felt really is like magic! Over time, I have created many pieces to push the boundaries & extend my skills. Visitors will get to see the wide ranging scope of my fibre art - from light floaty scarves to heavy floor rugs & 3D wall hangings & a lot of things in between, including quirky!

I find the very act of creating is contemplative, meditative, soothing and energising and is essential to balance other life as a counsellor.

My studio is open by appointment on a 1 km driveway well signposted.
