Puke Ariki Museum presents its latest exhibition Home Work: Taranaki Art 2017, showcasing Taranaki’s vibrant art scene and celebrating local talent.
Home Work explores the huge breadth of creative practice in the region with artworks in a wide range of styles and media. All Taranaki artists regardless of experience were invited to submit their work, with the selection made by Puke Ariki curators and renowned contemporary Māori artist Darcy Nicholas. Come along and be inspired!
Puke Ariki is an integrated museum, library and visitor centre with a great deal to offer.
The long-term galleries give fascinating insights into Taranaki’s history, culture, geography and natural environment, with great scavenger trails for youngsters to complete along the way.
Arborio, in the museum foyer, provides the perfect spot for a coffee, lunch or dinner, while the museum shop has eclectic items for sale that make perfect gifts.
