I live in Inglewood with my husband Chris, two dogs, two cats and a few chickens. We moved to our lifestyle block a year ago and are busy developing gardens etc.
I love the natural environment which is my main source of inspiration.
I enjoy drawing plants, and I also like to draw abstract designs which morph into strange worlds of tangled thoughts and memories. One style of drawing requires intense observation. The other requires just letting go.
In my paintings I like to play with texture. They are abstract but elements of my drawings are still apparent.
My other interest is printmaking. Inspired by a book of German Expresionist wood cuts I have been experimenting with mono colour lino cuts.
My work is driven by my concern that many of the natural things we take for granted will not be there for our children and grandchildren to enjoy.
