I paint mostly. I'm interested in the sensual pleasure of paint, its ability to be rich and sparse, to convey emotion and tell stories, most of all how it can excite the imagination and pluck the strings of your heart. I use it to explore. My personal history as well as the world around me. I don't care too much for literal accuracy yet I'm not entirely abstract either. I prefer to not say much about what is in a painting, that is something for the viewer to explore and find. The best viewers are often children when they are happy to say what comes to mind through their eyes. For others, my titles will at times offer a point of entry. My interests range across world events, my personal history and my current social environment. Anything might become an excuse to paint.
